Schematic Design Consent & Ordinance Approval

We’re celebrating summer here at Rooted Northwest with two big accomplishments!

Just days before our annual Summer Solstice gathering we finished our final community design workshop and all members consented to our Schematic Design, which includes our site plan, Common House layout, and housing floor plans.

Coinciding closely, the county approved the Rural Village Housing Demonstration Program (RVHDP), which allows for projects like ours within Snohomish County rural housing code.

The result of these two accomplishments is that this week we are submitting our project to the county for review. This submittal represents thousands of hours of work by our members and consultants and is a major step toward turning our agrivillage dream into reality. Once the county approves our plans, we will be able to begin construction.
