Their small urban farm served them well for a few years and now it is time to grow. Midgarden Farm is owned and operated by a brother and sister team with a lot of help from family. Jenn has been gardening for many years prior to becoming a farmer and will be farming full time starting this season. Jesse is a graduate of the Cultivating Success Sustainable Small Farms education program through WSU extension.
Their dream is to work in an environment that they love, nurture trust in local food systems, and serve our community by connecting the farmer to the family.
P.S. Yes, those are pigs on Rooted land. They will be followed by chickens and then the soil will be ready for vegetables — no machine tilling needed!
